Markham Food Bank – 7th Markham Scouters are encouraging all youths to give in this holiday season. There is only ONE week left that we will collect non-perishable food items for the Markham Food Bank.
The generous will prosper;
those who refresh others will themselves be refreshed!
Most needed items: small bags of rice, canned peas, crackers, canned milk, flour, juice, jam, jello.

Location: David Dunlap Observatory (DDO), 123 Hillsview Dr, Richmond Hill
Note:     Some activities will be outdoors, so please dress appropriately for the weather. Please be at the observatory by 6:50 pm at the latest as the program will start at 7:00 pm. The admission for the youths will be covered by the section budget from fundraising. If parents would like to accompany their children, please let Scouter Gary know in advance so that he can check with DDO staff if it is allowed to go beyond the requested number of visitors. Also, there is a $10 (per person) admission for the parents.

Note:      Tuesday Cubs will be hiking at Bob Hunter Memorial Park. Please dress appropriately, including hats, mitts & warm footwear and bring a flashlight/headlamp.
GROUP EVENTS COMING UP:
Christmas Party - To celebrate the holiday season, we will have our annual Christmas party on Tuesday, December 18th, 2018 at 7:00 PM – 8:30 PM at Rouge Valley Mennonite Church – 7452 Reesor Road, Markham. All popcorn prizes and raffle will be presented in this event. Further information will be provided.
Sleepover Adventure at Reptilia Whitby – This year sleepover adventure will be on Jan 18th-19th, 2019 at Reptilia Whitby. Reptilia Whitby has over 250 reptiles, amphibians, arachnids and a 5000 sqft indoor playground. You can find the registration details HERE. Registration deadline – January 8th, 2019.
Winter Camp – This year Winter Camp will be on February 1 – 3, 2019. Block your calendar. Further information will be provided.
