This year, 7th Markham will host Scouts from Leicestershire & Lincolnshire, UK. They are attending the World Jamboree (WSJ2019) in West Virginia, United States then they will continue their journey to visit Canada. We are looking for Howlers, Scouts, Venturers and Rovers to meet our counterparts from UK, exchange stories and meet new friends. We will camp close to home at Woodland Trails Scout Camp (only 15 minutes from Markham). From here we will show our guests the sights of Toronto and spend an afternoon picnicking on the beach, and with dinner at an area restaurant. There will be loads of camp time, camp fires, activities and stories from Scouting in the UK and the World Scout Jamboree.
Youth are welcome to arrive at camp on Monday, Aug 5 after 2pm, dinner will be served. Tuesday is a tour of Toronto landmarks, beach and dinner out. On Wednesday, GTA Scouts will have an International Scouting day at the campsite, through shared activities and games, we will meet over 200 Scouts from the UK staying at Woodland Trails. Our guests will leave for home on Thursday but 7th Markham youth can stay at the camp until pick up time Thursday. Non-overnight options are available as well, please contact either Scouter Thom or Scouter Bryant if you have any questions:
