Week of February 25 and 26, 2019

Below is the schedule of activities for the week beginning February 25, 2019:

Date:         Monday, February 25, 2019 
Who:         Cubs (Monday)
Time:        6:45 – 8:30 PM
Location:  Angus Glen Community Centre – 3990 Major Mackenzie Drive E, Markham
Note:          Monday Cubs will be demonstrating their aquatic skills to their Scouters.  Youths will be evaluated according to the Aquatic Skill – Stage 2,3,4 competencies.  A successful demonstration will be awarded an Outdoor Adventure Skills Aquatic Skills badge at the end of the year.  Please bring a snorkelling mask and life jacket (if you have one). Scouters will be showing the youths the HELP (Heat Escape Lessening Posture) and Huddle positions, as well as Ear Equalization techniques.  Swimmer fee will be covered by the section budget.

Location:  Eldred King Woodlands, Whitchurch-Stouffville (Hwy 48, north of St Johns Side Road)
Note:         Scouts will be tobogganing.  Please bring toboggans and sleds, dress warmly and wear appropriate shoes.

Location:  Markham Green Golf Club, 120 Rouge Bank Dr, Markham
Note:         Venturers will be winter hiking.  Please dress warmly and wear appropriate shoes.  Please pick up youths at the Dairy Queen by Hwy 7 and Markham Road at 8:30 PM

Location:  Castle Arts, #18, 5694 Hwy 7, Markham, ON L3P 1B4 (in Sherwood Plaza next to Dollarama)
Note:          Tuesday Cubs will learn beginner art techniques with acrylic paint, cost $10.  Please bring your own canvas 9″ x 12″ or smaller (can purchase at Dollarama next door) and a smock (or a shirt) to protect your uniform.  This is an adventure of Personal Achievement Badge – Arts.
