Week of October 8 and 9, 2018

Below is the schedule of activities for the week beginning October 8:

Thank you to all who participated in the Popcorn Blitz. We had a good turn out and most of our youths were able to canvas an order or two. Good job!

This week will be a busy week for all of our youths and Scouters. We have our Investiture on Tuesday and Apple Day on Friday and Saturday. Details of the activities are as follows:


Date:         Tuseday, October 9, 2018
Who:         Beavers, Cubs (Monday and Tuesday), Scouts, Venturers
Time:        7:00 – 8:00 PM [only 1 hour]
Location: Kateri Tekakwitha Catholic School, 230 Fincham Ave., Markham
Note:        (1) Full uniform required. More information can be found at 2018 Investiture
Note:        (2) Cubs (Monday), Scouts and Venturers will not have their regular Monday night meeting because of Thanksgiving. They are expected to attend the Investiture on Tuesday.                                                                                      

Date:         Friday, October 12, 2018 OR Saturday, October 13, 2018
Who:         Beavers, Cubs (Monday and Tuesday), Scouts, Venturers
Time:        Time varies depending on the day
Location: St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, 143 Main St. North, Markham
Note:        (1) All youths must be accompanied by a parent or guardian

IMPORTANT Upcoming Dates:

1) Tuesday, October 16, 2018 – deadline to register for Fall Camp. Our group’s fall camp is scheduled for October 26-28 at Shadow Lake in Stouffville. Additional information about the camp can be found at 2018 Fall Camp. If your child is attending the camp, the signed code of conduct, emergency contact information and camp fee should be handed in to one of the Scouters on or before October 16, 2018.

2) Friday, October 19, 2018 – deadline to submit popcorn order forms and payment. Popcorn coordinators will be available at the section meeting on October 15 (for Cubs Monday, Scouts and Venturers) and October 16 (for Beavers and Cubs Tuesday) to collect all order forms and payment. If you are not able to submit your form and payment, please coordinate with Maria (mestrella@7thMarkham.org) to schedule drop-off date on or before October 19.
